The Second Buddhist Temple at the Krasnaya Rechka site

The Second Buddhist Temple at the Krasnaya Rechka site (City of Nevaket), a World Heritage property in Kyrgyzstan. This temple will be rehabilitated within the framework of the UNESCO and the European Union partnership project on “Silk Roads Heritage Corridors in Afghanistan, Central Asia and Iran – International Dimension of the European Year of Cultural Heritage”.

The Buddhist temple complex dates to the 6th-8th Centuries AD. With a diverse cultural history, the temple is characteristic of the exchange of ideas, which occurred along the Silk Road’s Chang’an-Tianshan Corridor.
